Starting as an Educational consultancy, Barfordshire Institute which is also known as Ghana School of Entrepreneurship & Commerce (GSECBI) is registered under the World Leaders Consult (WLC). [a Consult which mainly seeks to: render professional services to educational institutions, empower women and youth bring out the ‘leader’ in them by training them through capacity building, skill acquisition, entrepreneurship programs, and discipleship (to take the message of the Gospel of Christ to all nations of the World].

Founded by ten zealous persons with like passion for  the mission at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, it started operations on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 and on May 26, 2009 was duly incorporated under the Laws of Ghana as an educational consultancy, in Accra.

It then broadened but singled-out its noble objectives as follows, to prepare the Ghanaian youth 'create their future by investing into it today' :

In 2015, GSECBI started its graduate education programs and launched its maiden youth education, development and coaching program: ’Smart On-Line’ in Accra, to reduce unemployment and promote entrepreneurship & business among the youth of Ghana.

The program is ongoing and has seen innovative and vibrant youth educated and skilled in their area of interest and being assisted to startup as entrepreneurs, with monitoring mechanisms in place for effective grooming and consistent growth.

Today, all Courses/Programmes offered by Barfordshire are accredited and in partnership with both local and U.K Prestigious Awarding Bodies.
